Veterinarian Peer Group Facilitator
Job Summary
MentorVet is growing rapidly! We are looking for an energetic, organized, flexible, and team-focused veterinarian to facilitate virtual meetings for our expanding participant community.
As a facilitator, you will guide participants through group discussions on topics from their curriculum modules, such as burnout, conflict management, leadership, ethical dilemmas, and spectrum of care. We are seeking someone with a strong interest in wellbeing within the veterinary profession and enthusiasm for helping grow our community at MentorVet.
Responsibilities
Facilitate group discussions (around 5 to 8 Zoom meetings per month) on a variety of mental health and wellbeing topics, using facilitator notes and provided guidance.
Ensure meetings are well-managed and productive, starting and ending on time while keeping discussions on track.
Follow up with mentees if anything is discussed that needs more attention after sessions are complete.
Send timely reminders to participants about upcoming meetings via text or email.
Foster inclusivity by encouraging balanced participation and creating a safe, supportive space for all voices to be heard.
Maintain focus by guiding conversations back to the meeting objectives and curriculum themes when needed.
Monitor group text threads for participant questions or concerns related to meetings.
Frequently monitor email for communication from MentorVet coworkers and respond promptly, as some communication is time sensitive.
Who We Are Looking For
Someone who is tech-savvy, self-motivated, adaptable, organized, and enthusiastic about creating intentional conversation.
Flexible in work hours, most meetings occur on evenings and weekends.
A strong desire to support veterinary professionals.
Training in wellbeing, mental health, emotional support, suicide prevention, veterinary support, burnout, and stress—or willingness to learn these skills or pursue advanced training.
Experience in teaching, facilitation, leadership development, or mentorship.
A love for learning and personal growth.
Benefits, Hours, and Pay
5 to 15 hours a month, with the possibility of more hours as MentorVet grows
$135 per 1 meeting facilitated (each meeting is 1 hour and 15 minutes)

Though this job is completely remote and flexible work schedule, we are looking for someone to be available in the evenings and Sundays.
