What is MentorVet Lift?
A Veterinary Mentor Certificate Program
A robust evidence-based veterinary mentor certificate program open to any individual associated with the veterinary profession interested in becoming a better mentor, gaining peer support, and learning skills to create and evaluate intentional mentorship structures.

Veterinarians wanting to create more structured mentorship within residency and internship programming.
Practice owners wanting to offer better mentorship structures for early and mid-career veterinarians.
Veterinary technician or practice manager creating a mentorship program for team members
Veterinary instructor in academia creating mentorship for veterinary students.
Board member of a veterinary medical association creating a mentorship program for member veterinarians.
About MentorVet Lift
This is a 15 month mentor certificate program with an estimated time commitment of five to seven hours per month.
Online Curriculum. The self-paced, interactive modules take around 4-5 hours per month and cover a wide variety of professional skills topics to give you the education you need to support others. In addition, a toolkit of mentoring resources are provided within the curriculum. During the program you will learn about topics such as:

Emotional Intelligence in Mentorship
Communication & Providing Feedback
Conflict Management
Positive Leadership
Psychological Safety
Wellbeing & Emotional Support
Mentoring Clinical or Technical Skills
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Creating and Evaluating Mentorship Programming
Adult Learning
Peer Support & Application Based Learning. Gain peer support from fellow veterinary leaders. Participants meet once a month virtually for 1 to 2 hours in facilitated small peer groups to discuss program material and how it can be applied to their work.
Capstone Project. Participants complete a capstone project to apply the mentoring practices that they are learning to develop their own mentoring structures within their organizations, hospitals, or communities.

Who is eligible to enter?
You meet the requirements for the program if you fit into either of these categories:
A veterinarian, veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, practice manager, executive director, academic instructor, or other veterinary professional based in the US with at least 3 years of experience
Scholarship Instructions:
Two winners will be selected at random to receive a free seat in MentorVet Lift. To enter to participate in the MentorVet Lift program, please submit the application below by July 6th at 5:00pm ET!
