As a new veterinarian, you’ve followed your calling to support the health and wellbeing of animals. While the rewards of your chosen profession are plenty, the transition into practice life can be challenging.

Designed to help early-career veterinarians thrive, MentorVet Leap is an evidence-based program that delivers the peer support, coaching, and mentorship you need to ease into your chosen profession.

We are excited to be offering a select number of full scholarships for MentorVet Leap thanks to the generous support of our founding sponsor, Merck Animal Health, and our other sponsors and partners.

MentorVet Leap

This five-month virtual mentorship and professional development program aims to promote wellbeing in the transition to practice by providing a combination of training in professional skills, financial and mental health coaching, and mentorship. The next start dates will be August 11, 2024.

Scholarship Qualifications

Applicants must be veterinarians within United States or Canada who graduated between the years of 2019-2024
Applicants must be able to dedicate three to four hours per month for five months

Program Highlights

Complete five online self-paced learning modules focused on these professional life skills: self-care, leadership, conflict management, ethical decision-making, and incremental care.
Once a month, upon completion of each module, you’ll meet virtually with your program peers to discuss module content, compare in-practice experiences, and deepen your understanding of how to apply lessons learned.
The program will extend from August 2024 - January 2025.
MentorVet Leap has been approved for 10 hours of continuing education credits in jurisdictions that recognize RACE approval. MentorVet Leap is also approved in the state of New York.
